Connect, Inspire, Empower: Join a global community at the Female Entrepreneurs Day conference this Saturday

It’s the age of Beyoncé, “leaning in”, and Hillary Clinton, with gender equality and female empowerment now a mainstream if not “cool” subject. But business remains a heavily male-dominated field, and Hong Kong is no exception. It was big news last year when – for the first time ever – women made up more than 10 percent of the board members of the leading companies listed in the Hang Sang Index.

When the balance is so out of whack, women could use a little support. Female Entrepreneurs Worldwide is a social enterprise founded in Hong Kong last year with the aim to “inspire and empower women for entrepreneurial success”, and to help them “scale their business[es] locally and globally”.

This Saturday, they’re hosting their very first “Female Entrepreneurs Day”, an all-day conference bringing together hundreds of professionals around the world in order to “broaden women’s access to resources and support”.

Join the the likes of Hiam Sakakini, the head of Manager Development for APAC at Google, and Irene Chu, the head of technology, media and telecommunications at KPMG, and learn from their wealth of experience.

In addition to the talks, there will also be workshops and panels on topics ranging from personal journeys, creativity, and and goal-setting.
